Reference Project #1

"Skyline" Business Center – Transition to a Smart Building

Modernizing the technological infrastructure of a Bucharest office center to increase operational efficiency and occupant comfort through system integration.

The Challenge

The building, constructed in the early 2000s, operated with independent and outdated systems for energy management, security, and climate control. This led to high operational costs, maintenance difficulties, and a lack of unified control for the administration.

Our Approach

We designed a modular solution based on an open-protocol centralized control platform. We conducted a detailed audit of the existing network and progressively integrated the new systems without disrupting the daily activity of the over 500 employees present in the building.

Implementation

  • Installation of over 200 IoT sensors for monitoring energy consumption, air quality, and space occupancy.
  • Integration of HVAC and lighting systems into a single management interface with automated rules based on time and presence.
  • Development of a dedicated administrator portal for real-time reports and predictive alerts.
  • Configuration of a remotely accessible security system, including access control and video surveillance.

Results and Impact

23%
reduction in annual energy consumption
60%
decrease in alert resolution time

The project demonstrated that incremental modernization is feasible and produces tangible ROI in the first year. The building administration can now make data-driven decisions for maintenance and optimization.
